Temple Bnai Israel – Easton
Temple B’nai Israel, a Reform congregation on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Founded more than 65 years ago, Temple B’nai Israel primarily serves the Jewish population of the mid-shore, including Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties. In its earliest days the approximately 50 founding members of the congregation, in addition to sponsoring religious services and social activities.
The new facility features a spacious combined sanctuary and social hall; meeting rooms, classrooms and a modern and inviting lobby / social space complete with lounge seating coffee bar. Also included a sukkah and patio that take advantage of the natural surroundings. Architectural elements create a dynamic contemporary building with a large triangular monitor above the ark in the sanctuary. Exterior materials include a mixture of glazing, wood, and stone that blends harmoniously into the pastoral landscape.
