About George R. Fowler Jr.
George R. Fowler, Jr. serves as Senior Project Architect and Director of Production & Quality Control at Levin|Brown Architects. He completed his primary coursework toward a Master of Architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Cornell University.
George’s academic background in philosophy informs a deeply analytical and disciplined approach to architecture. He brings a strong capacity for critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical reasoning to every project.
Since joining Levin|Brown in 1997, George has been a central figure in the firm’s religious and institutional portfolio. He has served as Architectural Project Manager on numerous major synagogue projects across the East Coast, including new synagogues, large-scale additions, religious schools, and community facilities.
His portfolio includes projects ranging from 14,000 to 35,000 square feet and encompasses both new construction and complex renovations. George is particularly skilled in consultant coordination, code compliance, construction documentation, and quality control—ensuring that projects meet the highest technical and regulatory standards.
Prior to Levin|Brown, George worked with firms specializing in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, large-scale retail, historic restorations, and corporate architecture. Earlier experience in surveying, shop drawings, and custom residential detailing gives him a comprehensive understanding of construction from multiple perspectives.
George’s role is essential to maintaining consistency, accuracy, and excellence across the firm’s work.
